Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Doug Pattersson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeremy Ring (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pattersson comes to the cage accompanied by The Banana song Peel Banana. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Doug Pattersson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 43 - 27 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Jeremy Ring!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Gregory Folan and Ian Loll.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A nice leg kick lands there from Ring.

Pattersson has closed the distance and engaged Ring in a clinch.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Pattersson takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
Pattersson tries to work over Ring's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

Pattersson pulls guard effortlessly.
Ring must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Pattersson is on top in guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Ring bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!

Pattersson is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Ring is just riding it out for now. Pattersson eventually gives up the hold.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

That was a close round but I would say that Doug Pattersson will probably get the nod.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
