The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Conti darts in and clinches McGeary up against the cage.
McGeary tries a body shot but Conti blocks it.
Conti scores a nice knee to the body.
Conti with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
McGeary is trying to maintain a safe position but Conti gets an underhook and turns McGeary into the cage.
Both fighters working to control the clinch.

McGeary manages to break the clinch.
McGeary misses with a hook to the body
and Conti counters with a straight right hand.
McGeary takes one to the side of the head.
Conti connects with a good right hand that stumbles McGeary. McGeary circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Conti steps to the side to avoid the strikes from McGeary.
Conti on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Conti slips under a jab from McGeary.
Conti scores with a nice right hand.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Conti fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches McGeary on the side of the head.
Conti goes for a high kick. It partially lands.

It looks like Liam McGeary has been cut.
Conti lands a nice shot to the body.
McGeary fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Conti manages to avoid it.
Conti moves out of range as McGeary strikes.

That's one minute gone in the round.
McGeary lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Conti throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent McGeary stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
McGeary throws a hook but Conti avoids it easily.
McGeary misses with an uppercut. Conti saw that one coming.
Conti slips a jab from McGeary.
McGeary throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Conti makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. McGeary really felt that one!
McGeary swings for the body but Conti moves out of range.
McGeary tries to move into range but Conti moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Conti slips a straight right by McGeary.
A little feinted left hand from Conti on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
The fighters circle momentarily. McGeary darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
McGeary smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Conti scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Oooooh!!! Conti has knocked McGeary down with a huge combo! Conti steps away and waves a wobbly McGeary back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

McGeary is rocked!
Conti looks to land a combination. McGeary sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
McGeary is still on wobbly legs! Can Conti finish him?

Conti gets a clinch.
