Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Sugar OD!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 16 - 0, fighting out of London, Pavlo Boyko!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Ren Mimura and Kenichi Hosakawa.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
OD closes the distance looking to clinch

and Boyko counters with a shoot takedown. OD fights it but they end up in guard.
OD wants to stand and escape but Boyko is having none of it.
OD is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
OD trying to keep a closed guard but Boyko is proving a slippery customer.
Boyko should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Boyko postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! OD is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Boyko, into his guard.

Boyko looking for subs off his back but OD has passed one foot through into half guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Boyko can do anything to dispel that myth.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

OD seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Boyko is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!

After the fight, Sugar OD was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
