Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between David Wuzz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mario Penzer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). David Wuzz has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 14 - 0, fighting out of New York, David Wuzz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 20 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Mario Penzer!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Kenichi Hosakawa and Yuuki Gou.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wuzz throws a shot to the body.
Wuzz has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Penzer throws a head kick that misses.
Wuzz throws out a powerful jab.
Penzer walks into a left hand.
Penzer feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Wuzzs jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Wuzz throws a jab but it's blocked by Penzer.
Penzer throws a head kick but Wuzz moves out of range.
Penzer looks to score with a jab to the body but Wuzz is just out of range.
Wuzz leaves Penzer with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Penzer cracks a nice hook into Wuzz's ribs.
Wuzz sizes up Penzer with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
David Wuzz seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Wuzz blocks a head kick by Penzer.
Penzer ducks right into an uppercut from Wuzz.
Penzer slaps away a takedown attempt from Wuzz, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Penzer gets tackled into the cage by Wuzz. Wuzz maintains the clinch.

Penzer breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Penzer throws a head kick but Wuzz moves out of range.

Wuzz keeps control of Penzer as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Penzer has had enough of the clinch but Wuzz keeps him there for the moment.
Wuzz misses with a punch on the inside.
Wuzz with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head.


It looks like Mario Penzer has been cut.
Penzer wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Wuzz has him pressed against the cage.

Penzer breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Wuzz walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Penzer throws the kick towards the body but Wuzz avoids it.
Wuzz connects with a nice looking jab.

Wuzz is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Penzer's half guard.

Penzer has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Wuzz is on him like a limpet, forcing Penzer back against the cage.

Wuzz lands a body punch in the clinch.
Wuzz lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Penzer backwards.

Penzer pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Wuzz tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Penzer was well out of range. Poor timing from Wuzz.
Sloppy strikes from Penzer. Those never looked like landing.

Wuzz lands a jab to Penzer's midsection.
Wuzz throws a right hand that Penzer ducks under and follows up with a left that Penzer also avoids with ease.

Wuzz lands a lovely overhand right.
Wuzz is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Penzer throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Wuzz tries to clinch up.
Penzer shoots in but no luck this time.
Wuzz lands with a right hand.

Wuzz throws a big overhand right that connects, sending Penzer tumbling to the canvas!


Penzer is rocked!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Wuzz engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
Penzer is still in real trouble! Can Wuzz finish him?
Penzer tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Penzer wants to get back to his feet but Wuzz is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Wuzz slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Penzer seems to have recovered his senses.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Wuzz works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Still in half guard, Wuzz seems content to control.
Wuzz has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Wuzz wants to control but Penzer is keeping him busy.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Wuzz uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Penzer has time to react.

Wuzz darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Penzer lands a glancing blow to the side of Wuzz's head.
Wuzz waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Penzer.
Penzer misses with a body shot.
Wuzz just misses with a punch to the body.
Wuzz throws out a loose jab but Penzer uses good head movement to avoid it.
Penzer misses with a kick to the body.
David Wuzz is winning the standup battle so far.
Wuzz works the jab nicely.
Wuzz throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Penzer takes one to the side of the head.
Penzer slips under a jab.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Wuzz jabs Penzer right on the nose. Penzer blinks but takes it well.
Penzer doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Penzer tries to close the distance and clinch but Wuzz swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Wuzz lands a nice hook to Penzer's body. Penzer takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Wuzz lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Wuzz cracks Penzer with an open hand slap.
Penzer looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Penzer throws a head kick that half lands.
Wuzz avoids the head kick by Penzer.
Penzer takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Penzer keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Wuzz.
Wuzz throws a shot from downtown. Penzer moves away and avoids it.
Wuzz scores with a punch to the head.
Wuzz looks to throw the jab but Penzer is out of range.
Wuzz tries to bum rush Penzer with a series of wild strikes but Penzer uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Wuzz moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Wuzz circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Penzer to the canvas! Penzer doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Wuzz keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!
