The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, David Hoff and Peter Branson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gunn misses with a looping left.

Gunn dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Cormier . That did some damage!
Gunn lands a big head kick that sends Cormier tumbling to the mat! Gunn takes a step backwards and waves Cormier back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Cormier darts in looking for a takedown but Gunn gets double underhooks and turns Cormier into the cage.
Gunn looked to counter with a high kick but didn't commit.
Cormier chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Gunn can pounce on him.
Gunn has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Gunn throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Gunn has Cormier pressed up against the cage in a tight Thai clinch. Cormier is arching his back, trying to avoid the knees but a big one sneaks through from Gunn - that's hurt Cormier badly! Oh, another knee lands and Cormier is covering up! The referee steps in to save him - possibly a bit early but Cormier doesn't seem to be complaining.
