Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Bruno Steve!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Daniel Bishop and Phil Schofield.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Canuel's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Steve connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Canuel scrambles back to his feet.
Steve uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Canuel.
Bruno Steve seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Canuel lands with a thumping leg kick.
Steve looks to land a combination. Canuel sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

Steve takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Canuel looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Canuel lands with an uppercut that bounces Steve off the cage and back into range.
Steve throws out a loose jab but Canuel uses good head movement to avoid it.

Steve throws a push kick but Canuel slaps the foot to one side.
Steve feints and then cracks Canuel's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Canuel down.
Steve has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Steve feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Canuel's calf.

Steve looks to land a body kick but Canuel moved away.
Canuel throws a hook to the side of Steve's head but Steve sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Steve takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Canuel bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Steve's head backwards.
Steve throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
Steve ducks under a wild hook from Canuel.

Steve's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Steve duly obliges.
Canuel on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Steve drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Canuel defends it well.
Steve throws a lazy uppercut
and Canuel connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Canuel avoids the head kick by Steve.
Canuel connects with a crisp jab.
Steve wants to slow Canuel down by chopping away at his legs.

Canuel throws a solid leg kick but Steve takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Canuel.

Steve changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Steve listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Steve scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!


It looks like Obi Canuel has been cut.
Canuel throws a looping overhand right but Steve ducks down to avoid it.
And Steve tries to counter it with a takedown but Canuel pushes his down on his head and steps out.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Steve thows a huge punch but Canuel dodges it nicely.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Steve misses with a head shot. Canuel uses the momentum to regain guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Canuel tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Steve was well out of range. Poor timing from Canuel.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Canuel, as that shot connected.
Canuel scores with a sloppy right hand. Steve should have avoided that one.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Steve moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Canuel walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

Steve throws a leg kick which misses Canuel's front leg but catches the back leg as Canuel tries to avoid it.

Canuel is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Canuel rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Steve moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Canuel seems to have got his legs back now.
Steve throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
Canuel gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Steve gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Canuel is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Bruno Steve!
