The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johanson scores with a jab.
Trenchard takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Johanson looks to land a left hand but Trenchard moved out of range nicely.

Trenchard has taken the fight to the clinch.

Johanson breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Johanson thuds his right hand into Trenchard's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Trenchard thows a left - swing and a miss!
Trenchard is trying hard to land a takedown here. Johanson sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Trenchard misses with a few strikes there.

and Trenchard takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Alexander Johanson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jon Trenchard.
Johanson lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Johanson keeps the fight on the outside.
Trenchard walks into a straight right hand from Johanson.

Trenchard is rocked!
Johanson looks for the body kick but Trenchard saw that one coming.
Trenchard tries to clinch but Johanson moves out of range.
Trenchard ducks right into an uppercut from Johanson.
Trenchard is still on wobbly legs! Can Johanson finish him?
Trenchard slips a straight right by Johanson.

Trenchard moves out of range of the body kick from Johanson.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Johanson lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Trenchard lands a head kick!

Johanson feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Trenchard sprawling to the canvas! Trenchard rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Johanson finish him?!
Alexander Johanson is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Johanson throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Trenchard shoots in but no luck this time.
Johanson jabs Trenchard to the body, keeping him at a distance.
