Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Ramon Cuellar!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Savage Samaritan!
The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Daniel Franklin and Winston Alpacca.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Samaritan changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Cuellar looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Samaritan thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
You can see the frustration on Cuellar's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Cuellar gets back to half guard.
Cuellar trying to hold on to Samaritan's head to control him but Samaritan postures up.
Cuellar is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Samaritan takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Samaritan wants to take a breather but Cuellar is having none of it.
Cuellar is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Samaritan scores with a couple of nice shots.

Samaritan really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Cuellar. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Cuellar moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Samaritan chips away with some ground and pound.

Cuellar looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Samaritan must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Samaritan tries to free his leg and advance position but Cuellar is retaining full guard.
Samaritan scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Samaritan stays in close to Cuellar's body and controls the position.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Samaritan distracts Cuellar with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Samaritan is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.

Cuellar has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Samaritan can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Samaritan forces his way into half guard.
Cuellar moves into full guard.
Samaritan is in close to Cuellar's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Samaritan trying to control the position from guard on top but Cuellar is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Cuellar looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Samaritan wants to control from the top but Cuellar keeps moving.

Samaritan is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

Oh Cuellar is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Samaritan has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Cuellar defend it? Samaritan steps over the head and cranks it - Cuellar is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Samaritan!
