Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sara McSlamm (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Darrow Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sara McSlamm had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 267.1lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Darrow Jackson will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jackson gets in close and instigates a clinch.
McSlamm could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
McSlamm lands a nice uppercut.
McSlamm letting Jackson take a breather here.
Jackson tried to land a shot to the body but connects with McSlamm's elbow.
McSlamm tries to circle away but Jackson has him pinned against the cage.

McSlamm pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
McSlamm with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Jackson to score with a decent uppercut.
McSlamm throws a body kick despite being completely out of range
and Jackson counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Sloppy strikes from Jackson. Those never looked like landing.
Jackson fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
McSlamm moves out of range as Jackson strikes.
Jackson has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as McSlamm is landing a low percentage of strikes.

Oooooh!!! Jackson has knocked McSlamm down with a huge combo! Jackson steps away and waves a wobbly McSlamm back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Jackson throws a low kick, looking for McSlamm's leg but McSlamm calmly moves out of range.
Darrow Jackson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The fight stays on the outside here - Jackson looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
McSlamm appears to be looking for a counter takedown.

and McSlamm counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
McSlamm takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
McSlamm is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Jackson pushes McSlamm off but McSlamm dives into side control.

McSlamm looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Jackson on the wrong end of some ground and pound.
McSlamm lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Jackson down.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Jackson tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck.
BOOM! McSlamm connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Jackson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with McSlamm. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

McSlamm is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Jackson can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
