McDonald has chosen Merle Haggard - Okie From Muskogee as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McDonald with a lazy takedown attempt
and Jerome connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
McDonald gets the takedown into side control.
McDonald staying calm.
Let's hope that McDonald has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Jerome tries to improve position but can't.
McDonald controls the position from side control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jerome wants to control but McDonald postures up.

McDonald is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Jerome is trying to escape and McDonald transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Jerome is forced to tap! Nice work there by McDonald ! Very nice indeed!
