Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Lord Frieza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bane Longfellow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Lord Frieza!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Bane Longfellow!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Taro Takaoka and Tatsuya Matsuyama.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Frieza drops Longfellow with a beautiful combination! Longfellow stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Frieza is looking for the KO!


Longfellow is rocked!


It looks like Bane Longfellow has been cut.
Longfellow darts in looking for a takedown but Frieza gets double underhooks and turns Longfellow into the cage.
Longfellow is still on wobbly legs! Can Frieza finish him?
Frieza connects with a body shot.
Frieza wants to clinch up but Longfellow keeps it at a distance.
Longfellow misses with a double jab
and Frieza counters with a thumping low kick.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

and Longfellow counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Longfellow.
Longfellow seems to have recovered his senses.
Longfellow throws a big elbow that misses.
Longfellow must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Longfellow's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Longfellow slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Longfellow is looking to advance position but Frieza has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!

Longfellow slaps away a takedown attempt from Frieza, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Frieza stuffs the takedown attempt from Longfellow. Longfellow gets slowly back to his feet.
Longfellow takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Frieza shoots in for a double leg but Longfellow sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Bane Longfellow seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Longfellow closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Longfellow lands in his opponent's guard.
Frieza is looking to stand up but Longfellow isn't so interested in that idea.

Frieza trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.
Longfellow postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Longfellow stops Frieza from standing up.
Longfellow is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Longfellow throws a strike but Frieza rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Frieza wants to get up but he can't break Longfellow's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Longfellow is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Longfellow has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Frieza scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Frieza scores with a jab to the body.
Frieza throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Longfellow's waist but Longfellow gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Frieza off to one side.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lord Frieza. That's going to take a lot out of him.

That's time! Frieza's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Longfellow is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Longfellow looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Frieza with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Frieza has hold of Longfellow's hands but Longfellow slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Longfellow in particular looking to stall.
Frieza is looking to escape.

Longfellow content to control rather than advance.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Longfellow lands a nice short elbow.

Longfellow is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Frieza sees it coming and defends easily.

Longfellow winds up and cracks Frieza with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Frieza is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Longfellow scores with a couple of nice shots.

Frieza is in a tricky position but he's been working on his transitions down at Gym 412 welcomes RoaR sponsored fighters , so we'll see if he gets out of it.

We've been informed that Longfellow has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Frieza wants to stand but Longfellow is controlling his posture from full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bane Longfellow showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. And we move into the final round!


Frieza throws a leg kick that is checked

and Longfellow counters with a nice double leg into side control. Frieza won't be happy with that.

Longfellow is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Frieza knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Frieza is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Longfellow asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Longfellow has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Frieza!

Longfellow takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Oh Frieza is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Longfellow postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Frieza looks a forlorn figure.

Longfellow postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Frieza in real trouble here! The ref calls for Frieza to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:56 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Bane Longfellow!
