Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Van Harvey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brandon Powers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Van Harvey is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Van Harvey!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Brandon Powers!
The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Powers avoids the head kick by Harvey.
Harvey misses with the combination.
Harvey moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Harvey connects with a crisp jab.
Powers closes the distance and clinches up with Harvey, looking for a takedown. Powers pushes Harvey against the cage but Harvey circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Harvey fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Powers, pushing him back against the cage.

Powers is fighting off a takedown attempt but Harvey is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Powers to the mat. Powers regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Harvey stands and throws Powers's legs to the side, diving into side control.
You can see the frustration on Powers's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Harvey working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Harvey is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Powers has escaped the position, nice work there.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Powers is looking for a sweep.
Harvey sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Powers is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Harvey wants to control but Powers is keeping him busy.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
You can see the frustration on Powers's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Powers tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck.

Harvey is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Powers is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Powers flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Harvey anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Powers and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Harvey slips an arm under Powers chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Harvey has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Harvey is squeezing on Powers like an anaconda would it's prey. Powers fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:24 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Van Harvey!
During a confident post fight interview, Van Harvey thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
