Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Tarik Tank (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Maxwell Booker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Maxwell Booker!
The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, David Hoff and Sandra Marshall.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tank dips to his left and cracks Booker with an uppercut!
Booker takes one to the chin there.
Tank throws a left and a right that both miss

and Booker counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Booker passes Tank's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Tank is looking to improve his position.
Tank flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Booker is trying to control the action in half guard but Tank is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
The fighters are battling for position here. Tank manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Tank wants to sweep here but Booker controlling him for the moment.
Booker wants to control from the top but Tank keeps moving.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Booker stands up over Tank, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Tank can't keep his opponent in guard - Booker advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Booker is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Booker has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Tank flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.

Booker is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Tank sees it coming and defends easily.
Tank really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Tank is defending against the submission attempts here by Booker.
Tank is trying to stand back up but Booker is controlling him
Booker winds up and cracks Tank with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Booker is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Booker lands strikes from half guard.
Booker working over Tank with some ground and pound. Tank looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Booker looks to score some points with some ground and pound.

Booker is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Tank flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Booker passes the guard and advances to mount!
Tank throwing punches from his back but nothing is landing.
Booker takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Booker breaks from Tank's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Booker wants to control the pace but Tank is squirming around nicely.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Booker is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Tank is surviving well by controlling Booker's body position as best he can.
Booker is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Tank can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Booker jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Tank is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Tank and Booker has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Booker is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Tank is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Tank manages to work his way to half guard, despite Booker's best efforts.
Booker has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Booker is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Tank is forced to tap! Great finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:37 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Maxwell Booker!
After winning the bout, Maxwell Booker thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
