The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Silva is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Johnson is just riding it out for now. Silva eventually gives up the hold.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Silva connects with a nice short shot to Johnson's temple.

Silva feints and as Johnson raises his hands in defense, Silva changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Johnson escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Silva gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
