Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Karl Max (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thurgood Jenkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Karl Max!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Thurgood Jenkins!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Cecil Peabody and George Francis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Max throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Max missing with a left hand there. Jenkins was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Max fails in his attempt to clinch.
Jenkins dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Max closes the distance and clinches up with Jenkins, looking for a takedown. Max pushes Jenkins against the cage but Jenkins circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Jenkins is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Max with a body shot.

and Jenkins counters with a left and a right that stings Max.

and Jenkins counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

Oooooh!!! Jenkins has knocked Max down with a huge combo! Jenkins steps away and waves a wobbly Max back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Jenkins.
Oh Max is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

and Jenkins counters with a slapping leg kick.
Jenkins fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Max on the side of the head.

Jenkins has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Max is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Max looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Jenkins is fending him off so far but Max persists. Nope, Jenkins circles away and we're back to standing.
Max shoots for a takedown but Jenkins saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Max is breathing heavily.

Max tries to move into range but Jenkins moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

Max seems to have got his legs back now.
The crowd cheers as Jenkins lands an impressive looking overhand right. Max doesn't seem phased though.

Jenkins throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Max closes the distance looking to clinch
and Jenkins counters with a nice low kick that buckles Max's knee momentarily.

and Jenkins counters with a nice uppercut.

Nice takedown defense from Jenkins. No joy for Max on that attempt.

Jenkins lands a nice shot to the body.
Jenkins moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Jenkins lands with a nice combination. Max backs away looking to recover.

That kick from Jenkins tenderised Max's leg. Max is trying to keep his angry face on.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Max takes a shot to the body in his stride.

The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Max shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Jenkins defends it nicely.
