These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carthage throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Andreev swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.

Andreev misses with a straight right.
Carthage lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.

Alexey Andreev seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Andreev drives through with a takedown into Carthage's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Carthage is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Andreev has an Americana. Carthage didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Andreev is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Andreev hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
