The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pique shoots in looking for a takedown but Man manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Pique's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Pique fails with a takedown attempt.
Man swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.

Pique is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Man's half guard.

Man manages to escape and get back to his feet!

Mutoid Man has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Marco Pique.
Pique drops his hands momentarily and Man takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Pique fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Man avoids it really well and circles away.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Man throws a leg kick

and Pique counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Man!

Pique has an Americana. Man didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Pique is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Pique hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
