Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Winnie Pooh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Francis Fitzpatrick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Paulo Santos and Emerson Jorge.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pooh shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Fitzpatrick sprawls well. Fitzpatrick wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Pooh gets slowly back to his feet.
Fitzpatrick tries to bum rush Pooh with a series of wild strikes but Pooh uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Pooh is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Fitzpatrick.
Fitzpatrick misses the jab.
Pooh tries to counter by clinching up but Fitzpatrick breaks away and moves out of range.
Pooh shoots for a double leg takedown but Fitzpatrick sprawls well. He's pushed Pooh's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Fitzpatrick throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Pooh stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Fitzpatrick has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Pooh is landing a low percentage of strikes.

and Pooh moves into the clinch.
Fitzpatrick gets underhooks to prevent Pooh's takedown attempt.

Pooh pushes Fitzpatrick back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.

Pooh escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Fitzpatrick gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Fitzpatrick is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Fitzpatrick is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Fitzpatrick must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Pooh shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Pooh was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
What's Fitzpatrick going to do here then? He's in a bit of a pickle.
Fitzpatrick tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Pooh tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Pooh has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Pooh wants to lay and pray for a moment but Fitzpatrick keeps working.

Pooh has gone for a leg lock! Fitzpatrick slips out almost immediately though and dives into Pooh's guard.

Pooh shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Fitzpatrick as he jumps to the side.

Fitzpatrick throws a hook to the side of Pooh's head but Pooh sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

and Pooh counters with a nice double leg into guard.

Fitzpatrick really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Pooh. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Pooh is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Fitzpatrick is just riding it out for now. Pooh eventually gives up the hold.

Fitzpatrick swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Fitzpatrick throws a body shot but no joy.
Fitzpatrick throws an overhand right that lands on Pooh's shoulder, as Pooh tries to avoid the shot.
Pooh takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Fitzpatrick dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

Pooh jabs Fitzpatrick right on the nose. Fitzpatrick blinks but takes it well.
Pooh connects with a good right hand that stumbles Fitzpatrick. Fitzpatrick circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

Pooh takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

Pooh jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Fitzpatrick walks away with a smile on his face. Pooh gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Fitzpatrick cracks Pooh with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

and Fitzpatrick counters with a massive uppercut that badly hurts Pooh! He's just covering up as Fitzpatrick starts to tee off till the referee steps in and stops the fight!
