PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Donald Chartier (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frank Stein (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chartier comes to the cage accompanied by Disturbed - Stricken. Stein has chosen Red - Falling Sky as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Frank Stein!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, James Atkins and William Gold.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Chartier uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Stein.

Stein has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Chartier is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Stein bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Stein.
Frank Stein seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Stein throws a front kick that sends Chartier stumbling back into the cage.

A looping hook to the body misses from Stein. Chartier does a little dance to reset his feet.

Chartier lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.


It looks like Frank Stein has been cut.
Chartier uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Stein.
Chartier pivots, looking for a leg kick but Stein is out of range and Chartier settles back down.
Stein turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
