The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jackson throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Myers's waist but Myers gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Jackson off to one side.
Myers wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
Myers scores with a sloppy right hand. Jackson should have avoided that one.
Myers defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Jackson.
Jackson gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Jackson closes this distance looking for a takedown but Myers circles away.
Myers throws a big counter combination but Jackson scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.

Myers scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.

Jackson shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Myers's guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Jackson has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

A quick step to the side and Myers tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.

Jackson darts in looking for a takedown but Myers gets double underhooks and turns Jackson into the cage.

Myers paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

Myers motions for Jackson to come forward. Myers throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.

and Myers counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Jackson dives in for a single leg takedown but Myers sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Myers fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Myers digs a good body shot into Jackson's ribs.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Jackson throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Myers.
Myers feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Jackson's calf.

Myers connects with a single shot there.
Jackson is trying hard to land a takedown here. Myers sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Myers fakes a right and follows up with a big left that drops Jackson to one knee - oooooh, he's wobbly! Jackson looks to clinch but Myers throws him off and pummels him into the canvas! Jackson taps out under the strikes! The fight is over!
