The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rosario fails with a takedown attempt.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Donic.
It looked like Rosario was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Donic fails with a takedown attempt.
Donic shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Rosario pinned against the cage. Rosario gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Shon Rosario has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rick Donic.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Donic instigates a clinch.

Donic breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Donic tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.

Rosario moves to clinch but Donic breaks away
and Donic counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

It looks like Shon Rosario has been cut.
Rosario avoids the head kick by Donic.

Rosario drives through and clinches with Donic against the cage.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.

Donic pulls Rosario into guard.
Donic is looking to stand up but Rosario isn't so interested in that idea.
Rosario throwing strikes from guard but Donic blocks nicely.

Donic pushes Rosario off and scrambles back to his feet.

Donic closes the distance and pushes Rosario back into the cage.

Donic's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Donic lands a nice looking kick to the body. Rosario takes a step back to recover.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Rosario shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Donic sprawls well. Donic wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Rosario gets slowly back to his feet.

Rosario misses with an elbow strike.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Rosario.

Rosario pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Donic shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Rosario as he avoids it easily.
Rosario was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Donic walks into a left hand.
Rosario throws a low kick but Donic moves out of range easily.
Donic throws a head kick that half lands.

Donic dives in and grabs Rosario's left leg, looking for a takedown. Rosario pushes down on Donic's head and hops out.

Donic jumps guard but Rosario stands there with Donic around his waist. Donic gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
