Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ragnar Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Evgeny Sotin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Evgeny Sotin is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Hirohito Nitta and Yukihiro Shimada.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A jab from Diaz misses.
Sotin looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
A clash of legs there as Diaz blocks the low kick.
A counter left hand to the body from Diaz misses its target.
Diaz takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Diaz throws a looping overhand right but Sotin ducks down to avoid it.
Diaz lands a right hook to the body.
Diaz scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.

Diaz motions for Sotin to come forward. Diaz throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Sotin wants to counter with a clinch but Diaz pushes him away.
Sotin has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.

Sotin tries a head kick but it misses.

Diaz lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Ragnar Diaz seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Diaz struggles to land a body shot inside as Sotin controls his hands.

Diaz moves into range and connects with a jab.
Diaz is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
Sotin walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

and Sotin cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Diaz went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Sotin moves away from the strike by Diaz.

Diaz throws a leg kick but Sotin checks it.
Sotin ducks under a wild hook from Diaz.
Sotin rushes Diaz and presses him up against the cage.
Diaz lands a hook that snaps the head of Sotin backwards.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Diaz.

Diaz scores with a shot to the side of Sotin's head.
Diaz presses Sotin against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
Diaz misses with some punches.
Diaz has a couple of punches blocked by Sotin.

Diaz lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Sotin or not.
Sotin is still on wobbly legs! Can Diaz finish him?

Diaz presses Sotin against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
Diaz creates some distance for himself and unleashes a massive uppercut that sends Sotin's eyes rolling into the back of his head! Sotin drops to his knees and Diaz pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
