Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Neven Gojak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Jumper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Neven Gojak!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mark Jumper!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Daniel Franklin and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jumper has Gojak up against the ropes in a clinch.

Jumper gets a trip takedown into half guard.
Jumper is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Gojak could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Gojak wants to get back to his feet.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Gojak looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
Gojak pushes Jumper away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Jumper gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Jumper is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Gojak rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Jumper moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Jumper takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Jumper clinches up against the ropes.
Jumper has Gojak pressed against the ropes, preventing Gojak from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Jumper breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Jumper misses with a head kick.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
A shot to the body from Gojak misses
and Jumper counters with a left and a right that stings Gojak.

Jumper drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Jumper is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Mark Jumper is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Jumper shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

Jumper swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Gojak is now in Jumper's guard. A big mistake from Jumper there, giving up the dominant position!
Gojak has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Jumper is proving hard to escape from.

Jumper has his foot on Gojak's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Gojak works his way back into a safe position though.

Gojak wants to stand but Jumper has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Gojak wants to get up but he can't break Jumper's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Gojak connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.

Jumper shoots in but no luck this time.
A left and a right from Gojak both land. Nice combination.
Neven Gojak is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

and Jumper counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Jumper.
Jumper jumps guard but Gojak stands there with Jumper around his waist. Jumper gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Neven Gojak has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mark Jumper.

Jumper has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Gojak is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Gojak will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Jumper takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Jumper uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Gojak.
Gojak lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Gojak lands with a slapping head kick.
Gojak throws a hook to the side of Jumper's head but Jumper sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Jumper takes a body punch but keeps moving.

Jumper fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Gojak sprawls well initially but Jumper persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Gojak tries to kick Jumper off but Jumper keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Gojak is in trouble now - Jumper has advanced to mount!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Neven Gojak.
