Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Samuel Chancellor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ricardo Talisay (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Ricardo Talisay!
The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Santiago Holmes and Bart Greer.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chancellor shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Talisay drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Chancellor defends it well.
Chancellor shoots for a double leg takedown but Talisay sprawls well. He's pushed Chancellor's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Chancellor has managed to clinch.
Talisay has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Chancellor is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Talisay drops down looking for an ankle pick but Chancellor pulls his leg out and moves away.
Talisay displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Chancellor.
And Talisay tries to counter it with a takedown but Chancellor pushes his down on his head and steps out.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Samuel Chancellor. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Talisay shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Talisay showed some decent athleticism there.
Chancellor knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Talisay on the ground.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Talisay bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

Talisay should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Chancellor can't keep his opponent in guard - Talisay advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
