Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Smash Punch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Demolisher Jack (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jack has chosen Pleasures of the Flesh as his entrance music. Smash Punch could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Demolisher Jack's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Smash Punch!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Demolisher Jack!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, William Gold and James Ackerman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jack has taken the fight to the clinch.
Punch is trying to force a seperation but Jack has the dominant position.
Jack drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Jack breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Jack darts in and clinches Punch up against the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Jack breaks from the clinch.
Punch takes a swing at Jack's ribcage but misses.
Jack misses with a head kick.
Punch tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Jack manages to circle out of the way.
Jack connects with a single shot there.
Jack clobbers Punch with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Punch moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.


It looks like Smash Punch has been cut.
Punch swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Jack counters with a straight right hand.


Punch is rocked!

Oh, that's a big right hand from Jack and Punch goes tumbling to the canvas! Jack follows him to the ground and looks to finish from half guard.
Oh Punch is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Punch wants to get back to full guard.
Jack keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.

Jack is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Punch is just riding it out for now. Jack eventually gives up the hold.
Punch seems to have got his legs back now.
Punch knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Jack on the ground.
Punch is trying to stand back up but Jack is controlling him

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Punch has hold of Jack's hands but Jack slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Punch might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Jack stalling.
Jack working over Punch with some ground and pound. Punch looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jack controlling the action here.
Jack throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Jack perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
My spies in LOD London Top Tier inform me that Jack has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!
Jack thows a huge punch but Punch dodges it nicely.

The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Jack is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Jack is controlling the pace.
Jack is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Jack in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Punch tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Jack!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:53 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Demolisher Jack!
After the big win, Demolisher Jack made sure to do all the important stuff like thanking his sponsors Venom Combat Sports and telling the interviewer how much he loves him.
