Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Takeda Shingen!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
6 - 0 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Trogdor The Burninator!
The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Tarja Halkonen and Ben Zyskovitsi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shingen jabs The Burninator right on the nose. The Burninator blinks but takes it well.
It looks like Trogdor The Burninator has been cut.
The Burninator swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Shingen connects with a looping right hand.
Sloppy strikes from Shingen. Those never looked like landing.
The Burninator takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
The Burninator is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
The Burninator drops his hands momentarily and Shingen takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Shingen drives through and clinches with The Burninator against the cage.
Shingen digs a right hand into The Burninator's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on The Burninator's gas tank.
Shingen lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
This has been an exciting period of action!
The Burninator is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
Shingen scores with a shot to the side of The Burninator's head.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for The Burninator.
A nice left hand lands by Shingen.
Shingen can't find room to land a body shot as The Burninator controls the action.
That's one minute gone in the round.
The Burninator has had enough of the clinch but Shingen keeps him there for the moment.
The Burninator stalls.
A short right from Shingen on the inside.
Nice body punch from Shingen - that landed with a thud.
A nice right hand lands inside from Shingen.
The Burninator is rocked!
Shingen cracks The Burninator with a nice body shot.
The Burninator is still on wobbly legs! Can Shingen finish him?
The Burninator's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Shingen dips a shoulder and cracks The Burninator with a mighty uppercut! The Burninator falls back against the cage and Shingen unloads with a barrage of strikes! The Burninator is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Shingen screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:33 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Takeda Shingen!
