Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Danger Mouse (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Artur Kornik (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Danger Mouse!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Artur Kornik!
The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Johanna Lukiainen and Matti Vanhoillinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kornik shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Kornik was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Mouse sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Mouse is not content to let Kornik control the position.
Mouse regains full guard. Nicely done.

Mouse has his foot on Kornik's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Kornik works his way back into a safe position though.

Mouse is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Kornik content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kornik tries to free his leg and advance position but Mouse is retaining full guard.

Mouse is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Kornik is aware though and is defending well.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Kornik's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

Mouse has his foot on Kornik's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Kornik works his way back into a safe position though.
Kornik looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Mouse is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Kornik defends well.
Mouse is trying to control the position from the bottom.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Kornik chips away with some ground and pound.
Mouse manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Kornik manages to get himself to full guard.

Kornik is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Kornik is controlling Mouse's posture.
Kornik trying to keep a closed guard but Mouse is proving a slippery customer.
Mouse stays in close to Kornik's body and controls the position.
Kornik really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Mouse. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Mouse is looking to work some ground and pound but Kornik has wrist control.
Mouse trying to control but Kornik is working from the bottom.
Mouse prevents Kornik from getting back to his feet.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Kornik tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Kornik working a defensive guard here.

Mouse has gone for a leg lock! Kornik slips out almost immediately though and dives into Mouse's guard.

Kornik with a nice head shot there.
Kornik being controlled here momentarily.

Mouse working for a triangle but Kornik defends it easily.
Kornik postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Kornik must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Mouse is trying to keep Kornik in close.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Kornik throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Mouse works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Mouse on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Mouse tries to get out of the position.

Mouse working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Kornik doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Mouse is tightening it up a little... Kornik has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Kornik reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Kornik taps out! Nice BJJ there by Mouse!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Choke). Danger Mouse!
A relieved looking Danger Mouse thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
