Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ethelbart Takahashi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and David Cain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Ethelbart Takahashi has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Ethelbart Takahashi seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 55 - 31 - 0, fighting out of London, Ethelbart Takahashi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 6 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, David Cain!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Sam Margolis and Chris Edwards.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Takahashi uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Cain.
Takahashi is looking to counter punch.
Cain slips under a jab.
Takahashi looks to land a right hand but Cain moved out of range.
Takahashi misses with a body shot.
A slow jab from Takahashi misses its intended target.
Cain only half commits to the counter leg kick.
Takahashi thows a left - swing and a miss!
Cain appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.
Takahashi throws a front kick that sends Cain stumbling back into the cage.
Takahashi takes a swing at Cain's ribcage but misses.
The crowd cheers as Cain lands an impressive looking overhand right. Takahashi doesn't seem phased though.

Takahashi avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Takahashi has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Takahashi there as he acknowledges the shot.
Takahashi ducks under a wild hook from Cain.
Takahashi throws an overhand right that lands on Cain's shoulder, as Cain tries to avoid the shot.
Cain moves out of range of the strikes.
Cain throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Takahashi stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Cain connects with a solid leg kick.
Takahashi throws a looping overhand right but Cain ducks down to avoid it.
Cain takes a swing at Takahashi's ribcage but misses.

Cain steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Takahashi.
Takahashi backing away here, and Cain unleashes a leg kick that just misses.
Cain has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Cain there as he acknowledges the shot.
Nice body punch from Cain.
Cain lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

Cain drops Takahashi with a left and a right! Oh, Takahashi is hurt - Cain dives into side control looking to finish!


Takahashi is rocked!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Cain wants to stand but Takahashi has his arm trapped.
Oh Takahashi is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Takahashi seems to have got his legs back now.
Cain tries to stand but Takahashi controls the position and pulls Cain into his guard.

Cain is looking to stand up but Takahashi won't let him.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Cain is fighting to break Takahashi's control of his arms but Takahashi is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Takahashi takes a swing at Cain's ribcage but misses.
Cain flicks out a counter leg kick but Takahashi steps away.
Cain on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Nice body kick there by Cain.
Takahashi is breathing heavily.

Cain throws a head kick that lands with a deafening thwack! The crowd roars as Takahashi stumbles backwards and falls to the mat. Cain follows into mount!

It looks like Ethelbart Takahashi has been cut.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Cain is trying to stand up but he's being controlled by his opponent.
Oh Takahashi is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Cain takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Takahashi seems to have got his legs back now.

Takahashi is wriggling around trying to escape.
Cain controlling from the full mount.
Takahashi really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Cain wants to get back to his feet but Takahashi is holding on tight.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Cain looking to control and managing it successfully.
Takahashi is trying desperately to improve position.
Cain tries to stand up but he's trapped just for the moment.
Takahashi is in all sorts of trouble here.
Takahashi is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

The fighters circling - Cain throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Cain scores with the left hand. Takahashi knows he should have avoided that one.
Ethelbart Takahashi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Cain tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Takahashi scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

Cain connects with a vicious head kick that knocks Takahashi to the floor! Cain dives in looking for the finish!

Takahashi sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

It seemed like Cain was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

and Takahashi cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Takahashi just misses with a punch to the body.
Takahashi chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Cain can pounce on him.

Cain bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Cain uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Cain throws a head kick that misses.

Cain lands a high kick to the side of Takahashi's head that stuns him and send him tumbling down to the canvas! Cain dives into guard, looking to finish.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Crunch! Cain slams his shin into Takahashi's torso.
Takahashi takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

Some wild striking there from Cain.
A little feinted left hand from Takahashi on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Cain fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.

David Cain comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Cain has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
