Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Texas Pete (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mel Gordon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gordon has chosen S.O.B. - Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats as his entrance music. Texas Pete is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gordon tries a head kick but it misses.
Pete on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Mel Gordon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Gordon steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Pete.
Pete swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Gordon has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Pete is landing a low percentage of strikes.

Pete sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.

Pete looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

The fighters circling - Pete throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Gordon throws a nice inside leg kick.

Pete was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.

and Pete counters with a nice right hand that sends Gordon toppling to the canvas! Gordon scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Pete finish him?!
Gordon is still on wobbly legs! Can Pete finish him?

That has opened up Mel Gordon's cut even more.
Pete keeps the fight on the outside.
Gordon seems to have recovered his senses.

Gordon forces Pete back against the cage and clinches.

Pete manages to break the clinch.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

The cut above Mel Gordon's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Gordon pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Gordon throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Pete on the side of the head.

Gordon displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Pete throws out the jab.

Gordon takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

The crowd cheers as Pete lands an impressive looking overhand right. Gordon doesn't seem phased though.

Mel Gordon's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
Pete connects with a crisp jab.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Mel Gordon's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:42 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Texas Pete!
After winning the bout, Texas Pete thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
