The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice sprawl there from Hua as Carver shoots in.
Carver takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Hua displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Carver.
Carver shoots in for a takedown but Hua shows good takedown defense.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Stanley Carver. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Shongan Hua seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Carver shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Hua sprawls well. Hua wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Carver gets slowly back to his feet.
Carver on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
That kick from Hua tenderised Carver's leg. Carver is trying to keep his angry face on.

Hua lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Hua cracks the inside of Carver's front leg.
Carver looks for a takedown but Hua sprawls well.
Hua scores with a decent looking hook.

Carver shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Hua defends it nicely.
Hua was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind.
Hua digs a good body shot into Carver's ribs.
Carver fails to land the takedown.

Carver changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Hua looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Hua can do anything to dispel that myth.

Hua is trying to get back to half guard.

Carver is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Hua has escaped the position, nice work there.
Carver sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Hua is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.

Carver lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Hua down.

Hua really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Carver. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

A big strike lands for Carver! That's really hurt Hua and he's turned his back - Carver keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Carver jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!
