PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Henry Rollins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jose Graves (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Rollins might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Imperial March (L.O.D. Rage Mix). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Henry Rollins!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jose Graves!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Cecil Peabody and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rollins changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Graves tries to avoid it but Rollins manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Graves to the ground. Graves escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Rollins moves out of range of the strikes.
Graves scores with a leg kick.

Rollins scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Rollins wants to pass the guard but Graves is defending well.

Rollins seems to be working for a kimura but Graves defends the submission attempt.

Rollins has momentary wrist control but Graves slips an elbow through the middle.

Rollins escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Graves gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Graves really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Rollins. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Graves connects with a couple of short punches.

Graves keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Rollins's head.

Rollins is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Graves defends well.

Rollins working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Graves doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Graves manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Graves tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Rollins tries for a takedown but Graves sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Graves - that will leave a mark!

Graves lands a big head kick that sends Rollins tumbling to the mat! Graves takes a step backwards and waves Rollins back to his feet - he wants the finish!


It looks like Henry Rollins has been cut.
Graves throws a head kick but Rollins moves out of range.
Graves feints with a left and delivers a massive head kick! Rollins collapses like a ragdoll! Game over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:31 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Jose Graves!
In defeat, Henry Rollins stepped up to the mic, saying 'He cheated! Check his gloves, they've got chloroform on them!'.
