Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Matthew Cristico (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zangief Chaykovsky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cristico comes to the cage accompanied by Snoop Dogg - Drop It Like It's Hot ft. Pharrell Williams. Chaykovsky comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Theme of Zangief kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, Dirk Anderson and Santiago Holmes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chaykovsky is looking to clinch.
Cristico appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Chaykovsky looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Cristico shoots in for a takedown but Chaykovsky shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Chaykovsky is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Cristico's half guard.
Chaykovsky is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Cristico doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Chaykovsky.
Cristico flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Cristico is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Chaykovsky really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Cristico. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Cristico is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Chaykovsky stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Cristico swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Cristico kicks Chaykovsky off and gets to his feet.
Cristico shoots in for a double leg but Chaykovsky sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Cristico drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Chaykovsky is not content to let Cristico control the position.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Chaykovsky can do anything to dispel that myth.

Chaykovsky takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Cristico working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.

Cristico has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
