The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Almeda jabs Jakboy right on the nose. Jakboy blinks but takes it well.
Almeda throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Jakboy.
Almeda lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.

Jakboy gets tackled into the cage by Almeda. Almeda maintains the clinch.
Jakboy misses with the head strike.
Almeda lands a hook that snaps the head of Jakboy backwards.
Almeda lands with a short head shot on the inside.

Jakboy is rocked!
A head punch blocked on the inside by Jakboy.
Oh Jakboy is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Jakboy is trying to break the clinch but Almeda has him pressed against the cage.
Jakboy seems to have got his legs back now.

Jakboy escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Almeda moves out of range of the body kick.

Jakboy throws a low kick but it's checked well by Almeda.
Almeda is looking for the big counter here.
Thomas Almeda seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Almeda scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Almeda uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Jakboy.
Almeda swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Almeda throws a series of punches but Jakboy avoids them all with ease.

Jakboy shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Almeda manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Almeda wants to stand and escape but Jakboy is having none of it.
Jakboy engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Jakboy gets to his feet. Almeda looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Almeda pushes Jakboy up against the cage in a clinch.

Almeda digs a right hand into Jakboy's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Jakboy's gas tank.

Jakboy breaks the clinch.
Almeda lands a jab to the head.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Almeda tries to clinch up but Jakboy circles away and keeps his distance.

Almeda tries to sprawl but Jakboy drives through with a takedown into half guard.

Jakboy postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Almeda to stand up.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Jakboy pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Jakboy fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Almeda fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Almeda misses with an uppercut.

Almeda has closed the distance and engaged Jakboy in a clinch.
Jakboy takes a shot to the head.
Jakboy tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Almeda smiles and moves away.
Jakboy avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Jakboy shoots in looking for a takedown. Almeda tries to sprawl out of it but Jakboy keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Almeda manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lil Jakboy. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Jakboy is breathing heavily.

Almeda cracks Jakboy with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Almeda has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Jakboy to stand back up!

It looks like Lil Jakboy has been cut.
Jakboy lands with a kick to the temple. Almeda shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

Jakboy is looking to clinch but Almeda is avoiding it.
Almeda scores with a hook to the body. Jakboy takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.

Almeda cracks Jakboy with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Jakboy looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Almeda finish him?

Almeda closes the distance and pushes Jakboy back into the cage.

Almeda pushes Jakboy back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Almeda pushes Jakboy against the cage. Almeda is working some dirty boxing. Almeda pushes off with a quick right hook! Jakboy goes down! Jakboy tries to stand but stumbles back to his kness! Almeda moves in to finish and the ref steps in to prevent any more damage!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:24 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Thomas Almeda!
Lil Jakboy spoke after the fight, saying 'Fuck you nigga'.
