The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Powell slips a straight right by Hoyce.
Hoyce lands a jab to the nose.
Hoyce has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Hoyce drops Powell with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Powell looks back up at him and smiles so Hoyce waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Powell is rocked!
Powell shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Oh Powell is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Jimi Powell seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The fight stays on the outside here - Powell looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Powell circles to his right, straight into a beautiful hook by Hoyce. Powell falls face first into the canvas - great knockout victory for Hoyce!
