Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 20 - 15 - 0, fighting out of London, Yuki Takano!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Demetri Puleveski!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Wesley Smith and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Puleveski waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Takano.
Puleveski walks into a left hand.
Some wild striking there from Takano.
Puleveski misses with a series of wild punches.
An attempted straight right counter from Takano misses the target.
Puleveski has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Takano.
Puleveski scores with a body shot.
Takano buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Puleveski lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Puleveski throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Takano counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Takano lands a glancing blow to the side of Puleveski's head.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Puleveski motions for Takano to come forward. Puleveski throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Puleveski misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Takano.
Puleveski misses with an uppercut.
Takano is looking to counter punch.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Takano throws the left hand but Puleveski avoids the punch easily.
Takano defending well as Puleveski loads up on a big left hand.
Takano avoids the body shot from Puleveski.
Takano lands an overhand right.
Takano lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Takano lands with a nice body kick.
Takano slips a jab from Puleveski.

Takano drives through and clinches with Puleveski against the ropes.
Puleveski tries to break the clinch but Takano is controlling the position.
Takano misses with a hook to the ribs.
Takano presses Puleveski against the ropes and delivers a mid-strength body shot.

Puleveski pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Yuki Takano is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Puleveski lands a slapping body shot.
Puleveski fails to land with a series of punches.
Puleveski throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Puleveski misses with a wild body shot.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Takano lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Takano takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Puleveski doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

Puleveski drives through and clinches with Takano against the ropes.
Takano lands a right hand that snaps the head of Puleveski backwards.
Puleveski has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Takano manages to break the clinch.
Takano bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Takano misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Puleveski throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Puleveski lunges at Takano with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Takano's hand.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Puleveski blocks a jab.
Yuki Takano seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Puleveski has Takano up against the ropes in a clinch.
Takano lands on the inside with an uppercut.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Yuki Takano will probably get the nod.
That's time! Back to the action!


A big left from Puleveski misses.
Puleveski jabbing away but nothing is landing.
A head kick misses from Takano.
Takano has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Puleveski.
Takano takes a head kick and shrugs it off.

Puleveski gets a clinch.
Takano swings wildly with an uppercut but Puleveski uses good head movement to avoid it.
Takano content to slow the pace in the clinch.
Takano has Puleveski pressed against the ropes, preventing Puleveski from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Takano lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.


Puleveski is rocked!
Takano lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the ropes.
Puleveski is still on wobbly legs! Can Takano finish him?
Puleveski is trying to push Takano away but Takano has him pressed against the ropes, so he's going nowhere.

Takano breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
A good leg kick by Takano.
Takano closes the distance and catches Puleveski with a lead hook that drops him to the canvas! Puleveski is clearly dazed and struggling here! 3,4,5,6,7 and Puleveski is up to his feet but the referee has called it off! Puleveski is still far too wobbly and he's not going to allow the fight to continue! Takano takes it!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:51 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punch). Yuki Takano!
In his post fight interview, Yuki Takano started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
