Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Rosendo Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Helio Meideras (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Meideras misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Silva tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Meideras manages to circle out of the way.
Meideras tries to bum rush Silva with a series of wild strikes but Silva uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Silva enables Meideras to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Silva manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Silva manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.

Silva pulls guard.

Silva has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Meideras has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
The referee calls for Silva to work.

Silva breaks the clinch.
Helio Meideras seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Meideras closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Silva kicks off Meideras and gets to his feet.
Silva misses with a low kick.

Meideras bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Silva isn't going anywhere.
Silva wants to control but Meideras postures up.

Silva throws Meideras to one side and escapes!

Meideras shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Silva's guard.

Silva manages to escape and get back to his feet.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Meideras shoots in and gets a takedown into Silva's guard.

Silva has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Meideras off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
Silva is breathing heavily.
Meideras tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Silva seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.

Meideras gets a double leg takedown into Silva's guard.

Silva wriggles free and stands up.
Meideras lands a jab-cross combination.
Meideras misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Silva appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.
Rosendo Silva is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Meideras looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Silva!

Silva explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!

Silva clinches with his opponent.

Meideras's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Meideras shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Silva is trying to defend but Meideras finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Silva pushes Meideras off and gets back to his feet.

Meideras closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Silva to the mat! Silva manages to get full guard.

Silva scrambles and gets back to his feet.

Silva clinches with his opponent.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Meideras is trying to break free.
Meideras has had enough of the clinch but Silva keeps him there for the moment.
Silva throws a knee to the head but misses.

Meideras manages to break the clinch.
Meideras throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Silva counters into the clinch. Nicely done.

Silva breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Meideras moves into the clinch.
Silva's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Silva prevents Meideras from breaking the clinch.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Come on Silva - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Rosendo Silva dominated that round.

Meideras lands with a slapping head kick.
Meideras scoring well with a low kick there.
Silva is sent reeling backwards by a solid uppercut. He barely regains his balance and Meideras moves in for the kill throwing a continuous barrage of punches that force the ref to step in.
