Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Ross Brennan!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, William Gold and Andrew Berry.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Danga de danga de dang - Brennan scores with a four punch combination!


It looks like Whitney Workman has been cut.
Brennan wants to clinch up but Workman keeps it at a distance.
Brennan shoots for a takedown but Workman saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Workman looked to counter with a high kick but didn't commit.

Workman tries to sprawl but Brennan drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Brennan is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Brennan seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Workman does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Workman wants to improve his position but Brennan is controlling well.
Workman has his hands clasped together around Brennan's back. He's all about the action.

Whitney Workman has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ross Brennan.

Workman changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Brennan looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Workman looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Brennan is avoiding damage well.

Workman decides to take the fight back to the feet.

Brennan darts in and clinches Workman up against the cage.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Workman takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Brennan throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Workman misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Brennan moves into the clinch successfully.
Workman wants to break the clinch but can't.
Workman manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Brennan goes for a takedown attempt but Workman pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Brennan shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Workman as he avoids it easily.
Brennan throws a right hand that Workman ducks under and follows up with a left that Workman also avoids with ease.

Workman gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Brennan lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Workman circles away quickly and effectively.
Brennan misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Workman thinks about countering with a head kick.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Workman.

Brennan explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Workman is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Brennan's half guard.

Workman closes the distance and clinches.

Brennan's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Brennan dives in for a single leg takedown but Workman sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Workman is looking for a sweep.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Workman sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Workman has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Brennan is working away from the top position though.
Brennan is breathing heavily.
Brennan wants to stand but Workman has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Workman is looking to control Brennan's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Workman avoid being mounted?

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Brennan lands a nice looking kick to the body. Workman takes a step back to recover.
Workman stuffs the takedown attempt from Brennan. Brennan gets slowly back to his feet.
As Brennan looks to move away, Workman throws a big counter combo but Brennan just gets out of the way.
Ross Brennan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Workman on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Workman takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Brennan looks to throw a body kick

and Workman decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Brennan's guard.
Brennan is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Workman trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Workman chips away with some ground and pound.
Workman lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Workman postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

Workman is working Brennan over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Whitney Workman overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Workman stands up over Brennan, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Brennan is working an open guard so Workman takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Workman gets tackled into the cage by Brennan. Brennan maintains the clinch.

Brennan breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Workman slips a jab and a cross from Brennan.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!



Workman shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Workman was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Brennan bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!

Workman misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Brennan takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

and Brennan takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Workman stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Workman wants it to stay on the feet.
Workman seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.

Brennan tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Brennan is trying to drag Workman to the mat but Workman just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

The referee is keeping an eye on Workman - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

Brennan doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Workman counters with a head kick.
Brennan is trying hard to land a takedown here. Workman sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
