Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Mike Rutherford!
The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Peter Branson and Michael Johnstone.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rutherford walks into a straight right hand from Battock.
Battock looks to throw the jab but Rutherford is out of range.
Battock throws a chopping leg kick but Rutherford manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Battock throws a jab when Rutherford was well out of range.
Rutherford steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Battock.
Battock thuds his right hand into Rutherford's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Rutherford slips under a jab from Battock.
Rutherford on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Rutherford has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Rutherford throws a solid leg kick but Battock takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Rutherford.

Battock lands a big uppercut and Rutherford crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Rutherford looks OK. Battock waves Rutherford back to his feet!

Rutherford is rocked!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Rutherford is still on wobbly legs! Can Battock finish him?
Rutherford bobbing and weaving nicely... He's ducked under a jab and ducks again but ooooooh! Battock comes at him with an uppercut from hell! Rutherford falls to the canvas, unconscious! This one is all over! Oh man, looking at the replay that was right on the button! Rutherford was out before he hit the floor!
