Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Corwin Anstey!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 46 - 35 - 2, fighting out of London, Paul Poulter!
The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Dean Styles and Jorge Garcia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Anstey swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Anstey.
Poulter looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Anstey is looking to counter with head kicks.
Poulter misses with a lunging right hand

and Anstey counters with a single leg into guard. Poulter didn't expect that.
Poulter is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Anstey dives into side control.
Anstey moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Poulter controls the position for a moment.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Anstey decides to stand up, so the ref orders Poulter to his feet.
Anstey lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Anstey on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Poulter tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Some wild striking there from Poulter.
Poulter scores with a sloppy right hand. Anstey should have avoided that one.
Anstey checks a leg kick.
As Poulter looks to move away, Anstey throws a big counter combo but Poulter just gets out of the way.
Anstey avoids a punch combination nicely.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Poulter misses with a low kick.
Poulter shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Anstey scores with a jab.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Poulter fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
No joy there for Poulter, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Anstey is looking to counter with head kicks.
Anstey connects with a good right hand that stumbles Poulter. Poulter circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Poulter lands an overhand right.
Anstey throws an overhand right that drops Poulter like a sack of potatoes! Anstey dives in to finish the fight with more strikes and this one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:34 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Corwin Anstey!
A relieved looking Corwin Anstey thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
