Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Adam Zobrist (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hardon Lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hardon Lee is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Adam Zobrist!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Hardon Lee!
The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Columbo Gatti and Lou da Vinci.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zobrist connects with the punch.

Lee is looking to work some ground and pound but Zobrist has wrist control.

Zobrist wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Lee gets to his feet - Zobrist follows without any prompting.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Zobrist feints a jab promting Lee to slip. Zobrist then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Lee slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

Zobrist lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Zobrist.

Zobrist stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Zobrist wants it to stay on the feet.
Lee gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Zobrist throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Lee.

Zobrist changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Lee tries to avoid it but Zobrist manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Lee to the ground. Lee escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Zobrist bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Lee has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Lee there as he acknowledges the shot.

Lee with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Zobrist to score with a decent uppercut.
Zobrist will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Lee misses with a head kick.
Zobrist lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.

Lee shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Zobrist manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Zobrist is breathing heavily.
Zobrist looking for a sweep. Not yet Zobrist, not yet.
Lee has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Lee stays in close to Zobrist's body and controls the position.
Zobrist is looking to stand up but Lee isn't so interested in that idea.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Zobrist is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Zobrist in particular looking to stall.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Lee moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Zobrist wants to control from the top but Lee keeps moving.
Lee wants to sweep here but Zobrist controlling him for the moment.
Lee wants to improve his position but instead Zobrist has moved into half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Lee moves in looking to clinch but Zobrist pushes him off.
Lee has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.

Lee throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Zobrist's waist but Zobrist gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Lee off to one side.
Zobrist was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Nice straight punches there by Zobrist. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Zobrist.
Zobrist is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.

Lee walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Lee fails with an attempt to clinch.
It looked like Zobrist was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

Lee darts in and clinches Zobrist up against the cage.
Zobrist is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Lee to keep the fight standing.
Zobrist is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Nice body punch from Lee - that landed with a thud.
Zobrist is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Lee can do to turn this around?

Lee pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Zobrist throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Lee fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Lee thows a huge punch but Zobrist dodges it nicely.

Lee stands up and beckons Zobrist to join him on the feet.
Zobrist lands with a hook. Lee tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Zobrist is trying to break free.
Zobrist fails to pull guard.
Zobrist really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Zobrist jumps guard but Lee stands there with Zobrist around his waist. Zobrist gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Lee has Zobrist pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Zobrist manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Lee wants to control but Zobrist is having none of it.
Lee might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Zobrist haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Lee throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Zobrist's waist but Zobrist gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Lee off to one side.

Lee tries to move into range but Zobrist moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Zobrist lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Lee walks into a left hand.
Zobrist scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
Lee closes this distance looking for a takedown but Zobrist circles away.
Lee shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Zobrist as he avoids it easily.
Zobrist's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Zobrist duly obliges.

The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Lee fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Zobrist, pushing him back against the cage.
Hardon Lee has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Adam Zobrist is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Lee pushes off an throws an elbow but Zobrist leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.

And that's the end of the fight!
Adam Zobrist showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Zobrist, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
