The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aldo scores with the left hand. Darrow knows he should have avoided that one.
Aldo shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Darrow as he avoids it easily.

Aldo bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Darrow's head.
Darrow tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Aldo manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

That was a close round but I would say that Jose Aldo will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Aldo jumps into guard, dragging Darrow to the mat.
Darrow stays in close to Aldo's body and controls the position.
Aldo escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Darrow gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Aldo does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Aldo lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Darrow has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Darrow and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Aldo manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Aldo is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Darrow rolls with it to try and escape but Aldo cranks on the arm and Darrow is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!

After the fight, Jose Aldo was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
