Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Rip Snorten (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Terrace Phillips (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Snorten comes into the arena with Learn to fly blaring out of the sound system. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Snorten throws a big shot that misses.
Phillips looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Snorten gets a trip takedown into half guard.
Snorten is nestled in close to Phillips, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Snorten connects with a nice short shot to Phillips's temple.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Phillips can do anything to dispel that myth.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Snorten lands a big elbow - Phillips is out of it! He's waving his arms around but his eyes are closed and he's not intelligently defending himself - the ref has no choice but to jump in and stop the fight! This one is in the books! A TKO win for Snorten!

A relieved looking Rip Snorten thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
