Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Yuri Ustinov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mantz Raider (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ustinov comes to the cage accompanied by ENERGIA!. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Mantz Raider was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Yuri Ustinov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Mantz Raider!
The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, John Kavanagh and Franklyn Lucas.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Raider swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Ustinov.
Ustinov looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Ustinov throws a leg kick but Raider checks it.
Raider works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Raider throws a body punch but Ustinov moves out of range.
A big left from Ustinov misses.
Jab, jab by Raider - just one landing.

Ustinov takes the fight into the clinch.
Raider trying to stall but Ustinov improves his position.
Raider lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.

Ustinov ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Ustinov no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Ustinov is on top in guard.

Ustinov trying to control the position from guard on top but Raider is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Ustinov passes Raider's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Ustinov uses his free foot to push down on Raider's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Raider.

Ustinov is working for a guillotine from mount but Raider frees his head quite easily.

Ustinov looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.

Ustinov working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Raider turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Ustinov off and cradles Raider's limp body as Ustinov celebrates with his corner.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:18 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Anaconda Choke). Yuri Ustinov!
