Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Tarja Halkonen and Arvi Lind.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ram fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Mercier manages to avoid it.
Mercier lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Mercier misses with a takedown
and Mercier takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Mercier misses with a takedown attempt
and Ram counters with a nice body shot.
Ram leaves Mercier with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Battle Ram has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Francis Mercier.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Ram stuns Mercier with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

Mercier dives in and grabs Ram's left leg, looking for a takedown. Ram pushes down on Mercier's head and hops out.
Ram misses with a wild combination.
Ram displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.
Ram connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Mercier momentarily.
Mercier gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Ram counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Mercier looks winded!
Mercier throws a lazy uppercut
and Ram counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Mercier fails with the takedown
and Ram counters with a straight that turns Mercier's legs to rubber! Ram pushes forward with more strikes and Mercier goes down, battered and bloody! That's a wrap folks!
