Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Julian Day (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Amber Ale (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Julian Day!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Amber Ale!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Frank Dennis and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Day looks for a takedown but Ale sprawls well.
Day closes this distance looking for a takedown but Ale circles away.

Ale has taken the fight to the clinch.
Day prevents a body shot from Ale.

Ale pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Day is trying hard to land a takedown here. Ale sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Ale moves into range and clinches up with Day.

Ale tightens his grip and picks Day up, before dumping him to the ground. Day manages to land in guard.
Ale is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Day wants to get back to his feet but Ale is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Ale drops back looking for a leg! Day is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Day manages to kick Ale off! Ale jumps back into Day's guard.
Ale's corner is telling him to maintain position.

Ale passes Day's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Ale trying to control the pace.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Ale stuffs the takedown attempt from Day. Day gets slowly back to his feet.
Ale scores with a three punch combo!
Day throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Ale's waist but Ale gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Day off to one side.
Ale throws a counter combo.
Ale goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Day fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Julian Day seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Day closes the distance and clinches up with Ale, looking for a takedown. Day pushes Ale against the cage but Ale circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Day shoots in for a double leg but Ale sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Ale closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Day did well to prevent Ale getting side control.
Ale seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Ale wants to pass to mount but Day is defending the position.

Ale throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Day tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Ale is in Day's guard.
Ale is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Ale's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Ale decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Ale clinches.

Ale creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Day's defenses.
Day managing to block the knees to the body from Ale.
Ale misses with a hook to the ribs.

Ale content to slow the pace in the clinch.
Ale drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Day gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Ale is breathing heavily.
Ale taking a breather.
Day is trying to maintain a safe position but Ale gets an underhook and turns Day into the cage.
Ale is working for takedown but Day is calmly controlling the position for now.
Day avoids a wild elbow strike from Ale.
Ale will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Day up against the cage.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Amber Ale showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!


Ale leaves Day with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Amber Ale seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Day looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Ale is fending him off so far but Day persists. Nope, Ale circles away and we're back to standing.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!

A head punch on the inside from Ale fails to land.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.

Day gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Day trying to stall but Ale improves his position.

Ale's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Day misses with a takedown attempt - Ale sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Day gets caught flat footed, as Ale shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Ale trying to control the position from guard on top but Day is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Ale stops Day from standing up.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Ale wants to pass the guard but Day is keeping the position.

Ale might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Day haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Ale stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Day swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Ale has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Day is proving hard to escape from.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Amber Ale is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Ale trying to control but Day is working from the bottom.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Day misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Day shoots in but no luck this time.
Julian Day has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Day tries to land a leg kick but Ale saw it coming and moves away.
As Day backs off Ale throws a huge counter combo but Day manages to avoid it all.

And that's the end of the fight!
Amber Ale comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Ale has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
