Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Zack Attack (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Abdollah Assad (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Zack Attack!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Abdollah Assad!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Frank Antenori and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Attack bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Assad's head backwards.

Attack pushes Assad up against the cage in a clinch.
Attack lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Assad or not.
Attack gets underhooks to prevent Assad's takedown attempt.
Assad fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Attack misses with a hook from the clinch.
Attack misses with a body punch.
Assad's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!

Attack jumps into guard, dragging Assad to the mat.
Assad preventing the sweep.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Zack Attack is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Attack lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.

Attack scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Assad doesn't seem bothered though.

A decent looking cross lands there for Attack.
Attack leaves Assad with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Attack fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Assad manages to avoid it.

Attack drags the fight down to the ground.

Assad makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Assad walks into a straight right hand from Attack.
Assad shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Attack as he avoids it easily.
A quick step to the side and Attack tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
Attack connects with a good right hand that stumbles Assad. Assad circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Assad misses with a two punch combination.
It looked like Attack was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Assad.
Good work by Assad as he checks the leg kick.
Assad looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Attack works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Attack jabs Assad right on the nose. Assad blinks but takes it well.
We've been informed that Assad has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
Assad lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Attack circles away quickly and effectively.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Zack Attack dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Attack wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Assad will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Attack with a nice cross.
Assad tries for a takedown but Attack sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Attack jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Nice shot lands for Attack.

and Attack counters with a left to the body.

Zack Attack has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Abdollah Assad.

Attack fails to land with a short punch on the inside.

Attack digs a right hand underneath Assad's ribcage. Assad let out a lung full of air as it connected.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Assad has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Assad drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Attack gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Attack is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Assad can do to turn this around?
Attack has Assad pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Assad manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Assad drops down looking for an ankle pick but Attack pulls his leg out and moves away.
Assad tries to score a power double leg takedown but Attack sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Assad somewhat.

Attack wants to land a leg kick but Assad is out of range.
Attack lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Attack stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

Assad closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Attack did well to prevent Assad getting side control.
Attack is trying to maintain the position but Assad is very close to passing his half guard.
Assad thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Attack is looking to control Assad's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Attack avoid being mounted?

Attack moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Assad has a pretty nasty looking mouse under his right eye.
Assad has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Attack after a bit of a struggle.

Attack lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Assad backwards.
Attack pushes Assad back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.

Attack escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Attack displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Assad.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Assad is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Attack gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Assad takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Attack wants the takedown. Assad is fighting it off but Attack persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Assad's guard against the cage.

Attack continues to stall.
Assad wants to stand up but Attack is controlling him.
Assad is pulling down on Attack's head. It's preventing any offense from Attack, at least for the moment.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Attack pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Assad is keeping the position for now.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Attack has closed the distance and engaged Assad in a clinch.

Zack Attack showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Attack, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
