Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Brock Steve (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Van Driesen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Van Driesen!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Kenichi Hosakawa and Shirou Masuda.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice sprawl there from Steve as Driesen shoots in.

Steve gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Steve is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Driesen sitting in guard, not really doing much.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Driesen not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Driesen postures up.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Driesen tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Steve paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Driesen shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Driesen in particular looking to stall.

Steve wants to control but Driesen is keeping busy.
Steve is looking to improve his position.
Driesen drops an elbow to the side of Steve's head.

Driesen sitting and controlling from the half guard.
Driesen moves into full mount! Steve won't be happy about that!
Steve knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Driesen on the ground.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Driesen sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
It looks like Driesen might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Driesen is in the full mount, landing strikes.

Driesen looking to secure an arm triangle but Steve defends it well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Van Driesen dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Driesen changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Steve tries to avoid it but Driesen manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Steve to the ground. Steve escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

and Steve counters with a stiff right hand.
Driesen tries to clinch but Steve moves out of range.
Steve lands a head shot.
Driesen moves to clinch but Steve breaks away
and Driesen takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Driesen is rocked!
Brock Steve has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Van Driesen.
Driesen looks to clinch
and Steve counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Driesen is still on wobbly legs! Can Steve finish him?
Steve weaves into range and cracks Driesen right on the temple with a beautiful overhand right! Driesen goes down! He's out cold! Wow, what a beautiful knockout! Steve is strutting round the canvas like a movie star as the camera bulbs flash frantically.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:52 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Brock Steve!
Brock Steve seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
