PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Snoop Em (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Edmond Moore (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Edmond Moore was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Snoop Em!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Edmond Moore!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Paul Gruel and Josh West.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A left lands for Em.
Em throws a combination. Moore tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Em definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Em connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.

Em has taken the fight to the clinch.
Em goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Moore blocks a body shot from Em.

Em escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
A punch combination from Em misses.
Moore on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Moore tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Em swivels and escapes.

Em gets a clinch.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Moore jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Em walks away with a smile on his face. Moore gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Moore drops his hands momentarily and Em takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Moore darts in looking for a takedown but Em gets double underhooks and turns Moore into the cage.
Snoop Em has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Edmond Moore.
Moore looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Em throws a nice looking combination but Moore bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Snoop Em seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nice sprawl there from Em as Moore shoots in.
It looked like Em was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Moore.

Em drives through and clinches with Moore against the cage.
Moore tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Em just stands there and leans against the cage.
Em scores with a nice hook to the head.
Em lands a nice shot to the body.
Em is leaning against Moore and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.

Em breaks the clinch.
Moore goes for a double leg but Em avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Em continues to drive forward.
Em swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Snoop Em is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Moore fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Em moves into range and connects with a jab.
Em bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Moore's head.
Moore's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Em connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Moore scrambles back to his feet.
Em fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Moore looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Em lands with a nice body punch.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Moore goes for a double leg but Em avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Em continues to drive forward.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Moore gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.

Em closes the distance and clinches.

Em breaks the clinch.
Moore shoots in but no luck this time.
Em keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Em lands with a nice combination. Moore backs away looking to recover.

Moore is rocked!
Em cracks Moore with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Moore tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Em pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Moore is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:33 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Snoop Em!
