Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Scuba Chris!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Slim Pickens!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Chris Downing and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chris lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Chris throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Pickens.
Pickens throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Pickens throws a shot to the body.
Chris looks to throw the jab but Pickens is out of range.
Pickens now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
Pickens misses with the combination.
Chris circles away from the clinch attempt.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Chris swinging wildly here.
Pickens throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
It looked like Chris was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Pickens.

Pickens's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Pickens tries to clinch but Chris moves out of range.
Chris rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Pickens moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Pickens fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Chris manages to avoid it.

It seemed like Pickens was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Chris thuds his right hand into Pickens's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

Chris circles away from the clinch attempt.
Chris was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Pickens avoids a punch combination nicely.
Chris cracks Pickens with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Chris throws a looping overhand right but Pickens ducks down to avoid it.

Chris wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Pickens has him pressed against the cage.

Scuba Chris is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Pickens lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Chris circles away quickly and effectively.

I would just about give that final round to Slim Pickens.
