Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tony Duff (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and George Lansky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tony Duff!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 4 - 2, fighting out of New York, George Lansky!
The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Steve Montenegro and John Roberts.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lansky is looking to clinch.

Duff breaks the clinch.
Lansky lands with a straight right. Duff didn't see that one coming.
Duff throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Lansky.
Lansky is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.
Lansky tries to clinch up but Duff circles away and keeps his distance.
Lansky has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.

It looked like Duff wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Lansky fails with an attempt to clinch.

Lansky rushes Duff and presses him up against the cage.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lansky stops a takedown attempt from Duff.
Duff blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Lansky gets underhooks to prevent Duff's takedown attempt.
Duff avoids a wild elbow strike from Lansky.
Duff drops down looking for an ankle pick but Lansky pulls his leg out and moves away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tony Duff. That's going to take a lot out of him.

The fight stays on the outside here - Lansky looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Lansky moves in looking to clinch but Duff pushes him off.
Duff stuns Lansky with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
A punch combination from Duff misses.
George Lansky is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Duff keeps the fight on the outside.

Duff throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Duff sets himself, and Lansky steps forward looking for the clinch! Duff avoids it this time.

Lansky fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Duff, pushing him back against the cage.
With the fighters up against the cage, Lansky throws an elbow but misses.
Lansky gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Duff.
Duff is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Lansky to keep the fight standing.
Duff tries to score a body lock takedown but Lansky shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Lansky lands an elbow inside that Duff shrugs off.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Lansky misses with an elbow over the top.

Duff is trying to maintain a safe position but Lansky gets an underhook and turns Duff into the cage.
Lansky putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Duff in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body.
Lansky makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
We've been hearing reports that Duff has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Lansky lands an elbow just above Duff 's eye.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Duff is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Duff has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Lansky doesn't defend quickly enough and Duff has managed to lock this one up! Can Lansky escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Duff on a fantastic submission victory.

During a confident post fight interview, Tony Duff thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
